    2023-10-16edit:尚文

The Human-computer Interaction and Virtual Reality (HCI&VR) laboratory is dedicated to cutting-edge research in computational geometry, geometric modeling, photorealistic rendering, human-computer interaction, virtual reality, multimedia computing, visualization, and services computing. HCI&VR conducts cutting-edge research at the aforementioned fields for original and innovative scientific outcomes, aiming at establishing itself as a leading research institution in the HCI&VR domain with global influence. Meanwhile, HCI&VR serves as a hub for nurturing young talents, promoting academic exchanges, and disseminating high-end technologies.

The HCI&VR laboratory has a remarkable publication record, with over 300 academic papers published in first-tier journals and conferences such as TOG, TVCG, ACM SIGGRAPH, ACM CHI, ACM MM, AAAI, IEEE VR, CVPR, ICCV, and many others. Notably, we have achieved impressive milestones in the development of 3D animation and interaction systems. We maintain long-term research collaborations with esteemed institutions like Harvard University, Telecom ParisTech, INRIA, Georgia Institute of Technology, Saarland University, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, and so on.

Over the years, the HCI&VR laboratory has successfully undertaken numerous national research projects and international collaborations, resulting in significant achievements, including several prestigious national awards. We have also filed for over 100 invention patents and software copyrights. Additionally, we have been entrusted with over 70 national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Key Program, General Program, Youth Program), 863 Program, and the National Development and Reform Commission Industrialization Program.

As a student in HCI&VR, you will thrive in our close-knit community. Our students benefit from advanced equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, and a stimulating learning environment that fosters innovation, exploration, and independent research. Moreover, they will have invaluable opportunities to interact and collaborate with international groups. We are currently recruiting Ph.D. students and Master students, and we warmly welcome you to join us on this exciting journey.

Come and be a part of our vibrant HCI&VR family. Together, we can shape the future of human-computer interaction and virtual reality!
